se%20a%20Portuguese%20higher%20education%20institution%20to%20perform%20their%20Erasmus%2B%20experience.%2054%20Semi-structured%20interviews%20were%20conducted%20with%20Erasmus%2B%20students.%20The%20main%20results%20showed%20that%20the%20motivations%20to%20have%20an%20Erasmus%2B%20experience%20were%20the%20need%20to%20learn%20another%20language%20and%20add%20cultural%20background%20to%20their%20personal%20experience.%20It%20is%20also%20understood%20as%20a%20good%20way%20to%20develop%20their%20knowledge%20in%20academic%20and%20personal%20learning%2C%20and%20to%20promote%20their%20employability.%20Erasmus%2B%20students%20believe%20that%20their%20curriculum%20vitae%20is%20valued%2C%20gaining%20more%20flexibility%20and%20more%20competence%20to%20work%20in%20the%20international%20environment.%20Their%20expectations%20are%20to%20improve%20the%20domain%20of%20a%20foreign%20language%2C%20to%20increase%20personal%20and%20professional%20independence%2C%20to%20ameliorate%20academic%20and%20communication%20skills%2C%20and%20to%20have%20more%20responsibility%20and%20comprehension%20about%20professional%20environments.%20The%20return%20to%20the%20home%20country%20is%20also%20referred%20as%20a%20relevant%20moment%20in%20this%20experience.%20Students%20expect%20to%20be%20more%20confident%20in%20that%20occasion%2C%20to%20have%20more%20personal%20and%20professional%20skills%20that%20facilitate%20their%20employability.%20The%20reached%20results%20allowed%20obtaining%20the%20following%20evidences%3A%20%281%29%20the%20main%20motivations%20of%20students%20in%20an%20Erasmus%2B%20programme%20to%20choose%20an%20institution%20were%20the%20good%20weather%20conditions%2C%20similar%20culture%2C%20language%20facilities%2C%20good%20networks%20between%20the%20home%20and%20host%20institutions%2C%20and%20personal%20development.%3B%20%282%29%20the%20personal%20development%20includes%20academic%20and%20learning%20aspects%20of%20development%20of%20the%20individual%20curriculum%20vitae%20as%20well%20as%20being%20a%20facilitator%20to%20their%20professional%20integration%20in%20the%20market%20labour%20since%20that%20companies%20value%20international%20mobility%20experiences%2C%20which%20shows%20personal%20flexibility%20and%20a%20more%20natural%20ability%20to%20work%20internationally%3B%20%283%29%20in%20the%20mobility%20process%20is%20important%20to%20have%20good%20processual%20organization%20of%20the%20host%20institution%2C%20the%20teachers%20availability%20to%20help%20foreign%20students%20and%20the%20fact%20that%20all%20the%20staff%20in%20the%20host%20institution%20can%20speak%20English%3B%20and%20%284%29%20the%20soft%20skills%20development%20of%20students%2C%20namely%20communication%2C%20independency%2C%20responsibility%20and%20confidence%2C%20as%20well%20as%20academic%20skill%2C%20which%20may%20potentiate%20students%20employability%20at%20home%20countries.%22%2C%22date%22%3A%222016%22%2C%22language%22%3A%22eng%22%2C%22DOI%22%3A%2210.21125%5C%2Finted.2017.0886%22%2C%22ISSN%22%3A%222340-1079%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22http%3A%5C%2F%5C%2Frecipp.ipp.pt%5C%2Fhandle%5C%2F10400.22%5C%2F9685%22%2C%22collections%22%3A%5B%22Q8AVY3MT%22%5D%2C%22dateModified%22%3A%222019-03-22T11%3A58%3A22Z%22%7D%7D%5D%7D
